Lycaon - VRChat Avatar

Say hello to the Lycaon! This is an African Wild Dog-inspired avatar created for VRChat.

This avatar comes with both digitigrade and plantigrade rigged versions, with the digitigrade rig allowing for the ankle to bend realistically.

The model comes with a few different customization options via blendshapes, and will eventually be updated with more customization in the future. It also comes with MMD visemes, and ARKit FaceTracking, as well as blendshapes intended for use with Prefabulous Avatar to delete sections of the mesh for use with third party clothing for optimization!

Also includes a tank top/sports bra + shorts clothing option, with textures done by Nimble Weave.

Default Lycaon texture done by Elias/melonite.

• Note: This avatar is a feminine body type by default, which is very different to my other avatars. There are blendshapes to adjust this and create a more masculine or androgynous body type, just note that the body type by default is not the same as my other content.

!!!It is HIGHLY recommended to use Substance Painter to texture this avatar! Substance Painter makes avatar texturing a hundred times easier, + can easily create specular, emission, and normal maps without needing to do extra work- I use Substance Painter to texture all of my avatars, which means they DO NOT come with .PSD files! I do not texture with Photoshop, just a fair warning.!!!

NOTE FOR QUEST USERS:
You MUST use the "plantigrade" version of the avatar for Quest. This is because Quest does not support the constraints necessary to move the legs with the digitigrade rig. Visually, there is no difference, but the bone setup is. The digitigrade version WILL NOT work on Quest. If you upload to Quest and your legs aren't moving, this is why.

Also, if your eyes appear black, turn off the eye lens- there's a blendshape for that.

- You may customize this model however you like- you can even make public cloneable avatars with it.

- You may take commissions using this model, however if you're giving files, the other party must have also bought the model. You may also not upload commissioned avatars to the other party's account if they do not own the avatar off of Gumroad, you may only keep it as publicly cloneable on your own account. If a commissioner wants it private, they need to buy the avatar from me.

- Do not give out the model files to anyone that has not already bought and paid for it, for any reason.

- You MAY edit this model and then sell edits as bases for others to use, provided that anyone buying your base has bought the original model in the first place. You may sell mods of this model, but only to people who already own it.

- If you are commissioning someone else for textures for this model, and they do not already own the files, you may ONLY give out the substance file, and the substance file ONLY, for them to texture. If someone is compiling the entire avatar for you, or doing anything besides retextures, they must own it, or you will need to buy it for them.

NOTE: Poiyomi shader is highly recommended, otherwise the materials will break. If you do not use Poiyomi, you CAN switch the materials to standard specular and they should work.

3/8/24 - Wow, an update on release day??

Added: Clothing! The Lycaon now has a built-in clothing option, with three different texture defaults!

Bugs Fixed: For some reason, GrinL was making the leg fluff disappear. This has been fixed. Not sure what caused that.

3/10/24 - Added two new body customization blendshapes- "Muscle" and "ChestDepth". Also, added an extra "muscular" AO texture.

3/17/24 - Added extra customization blendshapes, ARKit Face Tracking blendshapes(you will need to set these up yourself for VRChat use), and some optimization shapekeys to use with Prefabulous Avatar to delete sections of the mesh when using third party clothing assets.

Also added an extra fox-like default texture and new fox-like prefabs.

The readme has also been updated with some Lycaon-specific tips for further optimization.
